About Me

I’m Kate, and I live in beautiful Mid Devon with my husband, children, dog, cat and chickens.

People describe me as calm, empathetic and organised and I find it really fulfilling to bring my ability to keep things steady in a way that helps others as they make transitions in life.

Work, for me, has always involved wellbeing and helping people. From working as a carer, studying psychology as part of my degree, later becoming a nutritional therapist and yoga teacher, to working within the deaf community, and then as a doula whilst raising my young family, work has been about connecting with people. In 2020, I established Your Sorted Nest as a professional organiser and in 2023 I took a Diploma in Positive Psychology Coaching and Certificate in Alcohol Free Performance Coaching and added these skill to by business.

My passions have become how I show up in the world. I am very grateful to be able to say that this quote accurately describes my career.

‘the most beautiful fate, the most wonderful good fortune that can happen to any human being, is to be paid for doing that which he passionately loves to do’

Abraham Maslow

In line with my less cluttered ethos, the approaches that I am drawn to personally are radical in their simplicity. I see my decluttering, fasting, meditating, alcohol free, occasional wild swimming existence as quietly rebellious.

When life gets messy, for me, less is definitely more!
